Review: The Astrologer’s Book Of Charts By Frank C. Clifford

Book Of Charts By Frank C CliffordEvery astrologer needs accurate verifed data in order to work their trade, and beyond this to delve more deeply into the possibilities and potentials contained in the study of astrology. So Frank Clifford, founder of the London School Of Astrology has done a wonderful job with his latest book which contains 150 profiles of famous people and includes celebrities, sports people, politicians, scientists, historical figues of note and innovative and leading citizens of our time.

There are a number of reasons why I would highly rate this book. His association with Lois Rodden the now deceased Queen of Data, means that he is committed to high standards in this field. Continue reading Review: The Astrologer’s Book Of Charts By Frank C. Clifford

Venus In Cancer – Kitsch And Cuddles

Fotolia.com/Cancer - CrabVenus has just moved into Cancer which puts the focus on food, mothering and sometimes smothering relationships. Depending on how many planets you already have in Cancer, and whether your Moon is there or not – you may find this combination of energies either suits you or repels you – sometimes it can do both.

Those with Venus in Cancer can be difficult to get to know and also quite moody. You can never be sure who you will encounter on a daily basis as the emotions rise and fall like waves on the ocean. Sometimes they can be tickled pink by the craziest things and at others driven to a sullen darkness by someone who has hurt their tender feelings. Review: The Contemporary Astrologer’s Handbook By Sue Tompkins

Sue Tompkins I love the style of this book as it is so easy and enjoyable to read. Sue takes us on a journey that is informed and inspirational, as she teaches how to understand and interpret natal charts.  The book is suitable for  those learning astrology for the first time, as well for professionals. Everyone will discover something of real interest within.

Her descriptions of the houses, planets, signs, aspects and much more have  a freshness about them.  You can read it all from beginning to end and will have  a very thorough grounding in the principles of astrology. But you can just as easily dip into it and take from it what you need to know. Continue reading Review: The Contemporary Astrologer’s Handbook By Sue Tompkins

Katie Price And Peter Andre – The Enduring Tale (Not)

It is quite sad to see this family unit complete with children having taken such a shattering blow. But given the volatility of the relationship it is hardly surprising.

They met whilst taking part in ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ in the Australian jungle at the start of 2004. Now after bouts of passion interrupted by many stormy scenes, Pete has finally had enough. Or has he!

Katie Price is a Gemini with a Moon in either Scorpio or Sagittarius, as there is no time of birth for her. Gemini’s are already known for their dual personalities and their ability to change mood in the twinkling of an eye. Continue reading Katie Price And Peter Andre – The Enduring Tale (Not)

Paris Hilton Wows Sarah Brown

So what do Paris Hilton and Sarah Brown, wife of UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, have in common? Very little it may appear on the surface. However, they both gushed effusively about each other when they met in Los Angeles last week.

Apparently Sarah found Paris to be both ‘smart’ and ‘caring’. And Paris though that Sarah was ‘smart’, ‘beautiful’ and ‘inspirational’.

Paris is an Aquarian with her Sun conjunct Mercury retrograde, also in Aquarius. She has a Sagittarian Ascendant and her Moon in Leo in the eighth house.

She has Neptune conjunct her Ascendant in close aspect. Which is perhaps one of the reasons why she has survived in a scenario that most people would drown in. Continue reading Paris Hilton Wows Sarah Brown

Susan Boyle Makes Her Dream A Reality

The world has been wowed by the beautiful singing voice of Susan Boyle, who has become an international star after her appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, and her rendition of ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ from Les Miserables .

She has been described as having the voice of angel, and with over a 100 million views of her video on YouTube Susan is already rated as a singing sensation.

She has achieved overnight what many entertainers have struggled and failed to do  - she has caused a huge stir in the USA. She has even been asked onto the Oprah Winfrey Show. Her life may never be the same again. Continue reading Susan Boyle Makes Her Dream A Reality

Mars Conjuncts Uranus in Pisces

A few people have asked about this conjunction which falls at approximately 24 degrees Pisces,  and the kind of events or scenarios with which it might coincide.

If you have access to a copy of your chart, check out if you have planets on or around this degree. Also check if you have planets on or around this same degree in other parts of the chart – as they and the issues they represent will be triggered. Notice in which house this conjunction is taking place as this too will have a bearing on the kind of events you can expect.

Trigger seems to be the operative word here, especially in the emotional sense. If a situation has been building up, but due to Mars being in Pisces nothing has been discussed, or if you or others have been in denial, this is when it may suddenly burst out into the open, and it is likely to be something minor that causes the explosion, rather like the straw that broke the camels back. If you find yourself feeling emotional then track back – stop and reflect on what the cause might be. Anne Robinson And Her Weakest Link

On first glance at Anne Robinson’s chart it is hard to imagine that she has four planets in the cooperative and charming sign of Libra.

The TV presenter who has found international fame by playing the thin-lipped, poker-faced dominatrix on ‘The Weakest Link’, surely must be a Scorpio? She must have a good dose of power hungry and controlling Pluto aspects at least? No she hasn’t!

Not only this but her Sun exactly conjuncts Neptune, so she has a soft and very sensitive side which she takes great pains to protect. Continue reading Anne Robinson And Her Weakest Link

When Pluto Turns Retrograde

What does it mean when Pluto turns retrograde. This slow moving dwarf-planet seems to have a style and pace all of its own and packs a mighty punch whatever planetary status it has been granted. Though small in size it is big on power.

It is also a generational planet, in that its movement from one sign to the next marks out those crucial milestones that apply to vast swathes of humans at the same time. On an individual level there is no doubting its transformational effect when it aspects planets in our natal chart or connects with them via transit. Continue reading When Pluto Turns Retrograde

Madonna And Children

Madonna has been through quite a hectic time recently. Her divorce last year from Guy Ritchie, her husband of eight years coincided with both transiting Uranus in Pisces and transiting Saturn in Virgo squaring her natal Saturn in Sagittarius in the fourth. A time of tension in which something had to give.

Uranus is currently moving through her relationship zone which suggests that she is not in the mood to compromise or to want to tolerate anything that does not seem to suit her needs of the moment, even moreso than usual. Madonna wanted to spend more time in America and had been talking of adopting another African child – both of which Guy had issues about. In reality they were probably the tip of the iceberg.

If the time of her birth is to be believed (as there has been some contention about it) - then her fifth house, associated with children is ruled by Saturn, which as noted above is in her fourth house in Sagittarius. So adopting children from another country seems to be something she is naturally drawn to. Continue reading Madonna And Children
